McHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS STATE'S ATTORNEYS OFFICE: Chief Investigator 6/02 through 11/04 Duties included: Conducting criminal and major civil investigations.  Supervising investigators.   Locating fugitives for non-support.  Composing and executing search warrants and consensual overhear orders.  Supervising investigators during the investigation and arrest of suspects in Internet child exploitation stings, child pornography and other felony investigations.  Managing fleet vehicles. Copying audio, digital and 35mm photographic evidence for discovery motions.  Coordinate training for attorneys and investigators through Northeastern Multi-Regional Training (NEMRT). Grand Jury Investigator 1/98 through 11/04 Duties included: Receive all documents subpoenaed through Grand Jury Log documents in computer.  Notify police departments and make copies through Grand Jury secretary.   Report subpoena returns to Grand Jury weekly.  Conduct investigations for Grand Jury.

COOK COUNTY SHERIFF'S POLICE DEPARTMENT-Police Officer 5/71-9/96.   Criminal Investigator 7/73-9/96.  Duties included: Conduct felony criminal investigations, specialized in robbery and burglary investigtions.   Criminal Intelligence Investigator 7/82-8/86.   Duties included: Gather intelligence on known and suspected active criminals and criminal organizations.  Organize and participate in stationary and moving surveillances. Arrest suspects during the commission of crimes.  Use electronic tracking and surveillance equipment.  Photograph suspects and physical locations.   Conduct undercover investigations.

ALGONQUIN, ILLINOIS POLICE COMMISSION: Chairman Algonquin Police Commission 1987-88 Duties included: Interviewing applicants for Algonquin Police Department.   Hiring police officers and investigating disciplinary matters.

Kidnapping and murder of Hillside police officer Anthony Raymond (Hillside, IL 1972). 

Patty Columbo family murder case (Triple homicide-Elk Grove, IL 1976).

Park Ridge Elevator Murders (Quadruple homicide-Park Ridge, IL 1976).

John Gacy (Serial homicide, 33 victims-Des Plaines, IL 1978); death sentence. 

Paul Erickson for the murder/rape of 15-year-old Elizabeth Launer (Rolling Meadows, IL 1981); death sentence (commuted to life).

Ronald Kliner for the murder for hire of Dana Rinaldi (Cook County, IL 1988); death sentence (commuted to life).
