Services and Fees

Standard hourly rate is $65 per hour, per investigator, plus expenses and mileage

Most investigations require a retainer. Any unused portion will be promptly refunded.  You will be notified when the expenses approach the limit of the retainer, at which time I will contact you to ascertain if you would like to review and evaluate the case and whether you would like to proceed further with the investigation. 

Expert or specialist hourly rate fees will vary, depending on what their fees are and any special circumstances that are involved.  An example of this would be covert electronic vehicle tracking.

Database inquiries: Basic people finder or research inquiries and comprehensive background inquiry fees vary depending on how much depth you require, please call or write to discuss your needs and for price estimates.  

Process Service: $60 ($50 if no service is made) per service (including 2 attempts) plus 2-way mileage for both attempts; if more than one person can be served at the same location at the same time the charge will be $40 per additional person with no additional mileage. Service fee does not include extended surveillance. Additional fees (reduced rate database inquiry) will be charged (with your approval) if the address proves to be wrong.  There is a 40-mile radius limit from Algonquin, Illinois on all process service; check MapQuest for distance. Mileage: fees will vary with gas prices, as of February, 2006 the charge is .45 per mile.

Digital Photo Recovery:  I am offering to recover recently deleted, and sometimes even formatted or corrupted photos from the 12 most popular digital camera memory cards.  I can also recover deleted or formatted data from USB flash/thumb drives.  All you need do is fill out an order form and send it and your device to me via first class U.S. Postal Mail (I recommend sending it insured with delivery confirmation),  FedEx or another carrier of your choice.  Please click on the “Order Form” link to the left for additional information and to download the required order form.
